In a program attended by more than 70 students in a small classroom, every body shared that they enjoyed the talks and wanted the Writing Center to hold more programs in coming days.

Prof. Dr. David Austell Associate Provost and Director of the International Students and Scholars Office Columbia University gave his presentation on the issues and challenges that are being faced in the worldwide education in the US as well as in the World.
He gave information on wide scenario of what is it to be an international student, what are the challenges of being international student in the US and how can one over come these challenges and so on.
Giving his
presentation he highlighted the issues of international education
market, status of international students, how can students be part of
the International Education system and so on.

Addressing the function Assistant Dean at the Tribhuvan University Sharad Chandra Thakur said that this kind of program will help develop the students in the Tribhuvan University and will expose the students to outside world.
Many students also asked questions about the International Education system and how they can plan for the international education in the US. However, they told they wished that the program was bit longer so that they could hear Dr. Austell more.
The students also raised many questions regarding the International Education, much of which was answered by Dr. Austell and few were addressed by Mr. Amod Bhattarai from the US Embassy Nepal.
The students are in demand of more programs from the TU Writing Center so that they can help understand many international issues, concerns and share their views.
On a different note: Well, definitely TU Writing Center will come with various other programs in the future. Sincere Thanks to the US Embassy Nepal for choosing and believing the Writing Center to host this program. Thanks to all the valued participants without whom program wouldn't be a success and Kudos to the Writing Center Team who made this happen with their voluntarily efforts and dedication.
